Palnut® Push-On Caps are spring steel fasteners that hide axel, shaft, rod or stud ends with either a colorful plastic cap or a metal top hat. Decorative Palnut® Push-On Caps take a positive “bite” on metal, plastic or wood, so they grip securely even on very smooth, hard surfaces. Easy to install, they can be pressed into locked position by hand, or lightly tapped with a mallet.
Also known as axel cap nuts, hat-retainers, or retaining caps, Palnut® Plastic Push-On Caps are strong fasteners that give your project a clean, finished appearance, and a pop of color, while also providing a secure grip. Palnut® Push-On Top Hats are an attractive fastening solution that eliminates costly machine threading. Insertion and retention to the stud depends on the stud size and material.
