Based on our customer’s feedback, the latest design enhancements of the 2-3/4″ Duplex Screw further improve performance, durability, and job site efficiency.
Longer Shank
The most notable update is a longer shank, which improves engagement in mating materials and provides more consistent holding power. This helps ensure stability during installation while maintaining an easy removal.
Type 17 Point
In addition, the screw now features a Type 17 point, allowing for faster starts, reduced driving torque, and minimized splitting—especially in wood applications. These improvements reduce installation time and help protect materials during repeated use.
Powder-Coated Heads
Durability has also been enhanced with orange powder-coated heads, offering improved resistance to wear and corrosion while maintaining high visibility on the jobsite. This coating is designed to stand up to repeated installation and removal, extending the service life of the fastener in demanding conditions.
Reusable Packaging
The packaging has been updated as well to better support jobsite organization and reuse. Duplex Screws are now supplied in resealable buckets, making storage, transport, and inventory management easier. Each bucket also includes a 1/4″ impact-rated Duplex Screw nut setter, ensuring contractors have the proper tool for consistent installation from the start.
